How do I install a live wallpaper on Android?
Android live wallpapers are MP4 videos set via your system wallpaper picker. The flow varies slightly by manufacturer, but the gist is:
Stock Android / Pixel:
- Save the .mp4 you downloaded to your device's Movies or Downloads folder.
- Long-press the home screen → Wallpapers → My photos (or Videos).
- Pick the .mp4 and set it for the lock screen, home screen, or both.
Samsung Galaxy:
Use Gallery → select the video → menu → Set as wallpaper → Lock screen. Samsung's One UI plays the MP4 as a moving lock-screen wallpaper natively.
OnePlus / OPPO / MIUI:
Same flow as Samsung — open the video in Gallery and look for the 'Set as wallpaper' option in the share/menu.
If your phone is older than Android 10 and the picker doesn't accept video, use a free app like Video Live Wallpaper as a wrapper — but on Android 10+ the built-in picker should work directly.
